Bridgehouse Asset Managers is an affiliate of Brandes Investment Partners, L.P. (“Brandes”) which was founded in1974 in San Diego. The firm’s very first client was Canadian and over the next few decades, Brandes deepened its presence in Canada through institutional relationships. In 2002, Brandes opened an office in Toronto, launching a suite of value-style mutual funds for Canadian investors.
First and foremost, Bridgehouse Asset Managers is independent in its ownership and thinking, enabling the firm to align with the goals of investors.
Bridgehouse Asset Managers is focused on helping investors build long-term wealth. The firm offers 25 mutual funds managed by four independent managers: Brandes Investment Partners, Sionna Investment Managers, Inc., Lazard Asset Management, Inc., and Greystone Managed Investments Inc. Spanning a variety of asset classes, regions and objectives to meet investor needs for growth or income, all four investment managers use an active management philosophy with a goal of outperforming benchmarks and peers.
The principles of value investing have served as a key foundation for the firm’s investment offerings since its inception. Bridgehouse Asset Managers believes value investing is one of the most fundamentally sound ways to generate and preserve wealth. The firm believes long-term investors typically share three objectives that can be delivered by value investing: capital appreciation, capital preservation in declining markets and superior long-term results.
